A popular and colorful bromeliad hybrid that can produces a cluster of very small blue inflorescence "flowers".  The plant does well in full sun to partial shade.  The bromeliad has small spines and sharp blade edges capable of inflicting a relatively serious wound.  Use caution when handling.  Neoregelia 'Fireball' is sometimes a popular terrarium plant due to its often smaller size.  The bromeliad can be compatible with other small to medium terrarium plants in medium to large terrariums.  The hybrid grows to approximately 6 to 14 inches in diameter.  For maximum color give the plant as much bright light as possible and keep the bromeliad's cone filled with clean water.  Our plant is one of the larger of this group and is close to 14 inches across.
