I'd love to know how hybridizers come up with the names for their orchids.  I don't recall a character named Degamoara (likely the name of the hybridizer), but somehow I'd almost bet the hybridizer of this one had just seen an episode of "Star Wars" when this one bloomed!  This fabulous oncidium looks like something Luke Skywalker would use to blow up a death star!  Or perhaps, something carved out with a light saber.  Regardless, it's another of the fabulous ‘Red Star' series of hybrids.  Often produces multiple sprays of brilliant red and yellow flowers.
